AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS / 001
HAUNT
SYSTEMS
Machines that perceive, track, and act in the physical world. Engineered as one loop — sensor to decision to motion.
01/MANIFESTO
AUTONOMY IS A
PHYSICAL PROBLEM.
Software that cannot survive latency, noise, and motion is not autonomy — it is a demo. Real machines operate against physics: sensors lag, targets occlude, actuators saturate, light fails.
HAUNT engineers the full loop — perception, estimation, prediction, control — as one measured system, proven in simulation before it ever touches hardware.

02/SYSTEMS
ONE ECOSYSTEM.
SIX SYSTEMS.
The HAUNT stack in development today. Status markers are real — nothing here is sold as finished before it is.
- SYS.01
PHANTOM
PERCEPTION & TRACKING PLATFORM
Detects aerial objects, holds a persistent track through occlusion, and keeps its sensors pointed at them — autonomously.
IN DEVELOPMENT - SYS.02
GHOST
COMPACT SENSING MODULE
Self-contained sensing and edge compute in a sealed unit. Perception at the edge, no uplink required.
CONCEPT - SYS.03
SPECTER
SIMULATION ENVIRONMENT
Digital-twin environment where every HAUNT system is flown, stressed, and measured before hardware exists.
IN DEVELOPMENT - SYS.04
WRAITH
OPERATOR CONSOLE
Command software for live systems: tracks, telemetry, safety state, and operator takeover in one interface.
CONCEPT - SYS.05
VEIL
SENSOR FUSION STACK
Fuses multi-sensor measurements into coherent state estimates with explicit uncertainty and explicit coordinate frames.
RESEARCH - SYS.06
ECHO
TELEMETRY & REPLAY
Records every experiment, replays any run, and turns raw telemetry into engineering metrics automatically.

03/TECHNOLOGY
THE LOOP IS
THE PRODUCT.
PERCEPTION
Raw sensor frames become timestamped detections with calibrated confidence. Models are replaceable; the contract is not.
ESTIMATION
Detections become persistent tracks: position, velocity, acceleration — with covariance and explicit coordinate frames.
PREDICTION
Short-horizon motion prediction compensates for sensor, compute, and actuator latency. Accuracy is measured, not assumed.
CONTROL
Closed-loop pointing under real mechanical limits: velocity, acceleration, backlash, latency. The target stays centered.
SIMULATION
Every loop runs against a deterministic simulated world first — noise, latency, occlusion, and dropped frames included.
EDGE COMPUTE
The full tracking loop runs locally on embedded hardware. No cloud in the control path. No connectivity requirement.
04/ENGINEERING
SIMULATION FIRST.
HARDWARE SECOND.
The same high-level software runs against simulation, software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and the bench platform. Hardware is a driver, not a rewrite.
DETERMINISM
Same scenario in, same behavior out. Experiments replay bit-for-bit, so a fix is provable and a regression has nowhere to hide.
OBSERVABILITY
Every stage of the loop emits telemetry: latencies, errors, confidences, states. If it isn't instrumented, it isn't done.
REPLACEABLE INTERFACES
Detectors, trackers, estimators, and drivers sit behind contracts. Any component can be swapped and benchmarked against the last one.
MEASURED EVERYTHING
Architecture claims are settled by metrics, not debate. A change ships when the numbers move the right way.

OWN THE LOOP
END TO END.
We hire engineers who want responsibility for a system, not a ticket queue — perception to actuation, simulation to field test. No roles are posted yet. If that is the work you want, introduce yourself early.
